How We Handle New Construction Electrical Projects
We work directly from your builder's plans and stay in step with the framing and inspection schedule, so the electrical never becomes the thing holding up the job. Owner Randall Claeys is on your project personally, from the first plan review through the final inspection, making sure rough-in, panel sizing, and fixture placement are right the first time.
Step 1: Plan Review and Bid
We review your house plans (or your builder's) to map out panel location, circuit counts, and any special loads like a shop, hot tub, or future generator pad. You get a clear, itemized bid before any wire gets run.
Step 2: Rough-In Wiring
Once framing is up, we run whole home wiring for outlets, switches, and fixtures, along with any dedicated circuits the plan calls for. This is also when we set boxes for future EV charger or generator hookups.
Step 3: Panel and Service Installation
We install and connect the electrical panel and service entrance, sized correctly for the home's current and future load. This is where the 100 amp to 200 amp service decision gets made, based on square footage, HVAC type, and planned additions like a hot tub or EV charger.
Step 4: Trim-Out and Final Inspection
After drywall, we come back for trim-out: outlets, switches, lighting fixture installation, and any lighting control features you've chosen. We coordinate directly with the inspector and your builder to close out the permit.
